Art Museum named after. Gregory Galagan - Chernihiv
One of the youngest art museums in Ukraine, the Chernihiv Art Museum is named after them. Gregory Galan, founded in 1983. It was located in the building of the former women's gymnasium on Val - the territory belonging to the ancient Chernihiv Kremlin. The museum surprisingly carries the imprint of the glorious historical past of the Ukrainian people.
The basis of the museum's artistic fund, which has about eight thousand exhibits, is undoubtedly a unique family collection of Galagans, represented by a number of works of Ukrainian portrait painting of the XVIII - XVIII centuries.
